Second Epic related question, i took the time to read thru Epic Spells, Epic Seeds, Epic Spell Slots it all quite frankly makes me nauseous. Are we going to blissfully ignore epic magic, and just let the 10E magic system scale as appropriate into the 21+ stages of magic?

That is where I was looking, yes.

The harder part is feats. But mostly because I don’t know them as good as my players anymore.

Well we are getting close to drifting into 21+ land, and wanted to discuss the absurd costs of epic magic items, specifically non-epic weapons vs epic weapons.

        Non-Epic

        Enhancement Cost
        +1 2,000 gp
        +2 8,000 gp
        +3 18,000 gp
        +4 32,000 gp
        +5 50,000 gp
        +6 72,000 gp
        +7 98,000 gp
        +8 128,000 gp
        +9 162,000 gp
        +10 200,000 gp

        Which equates to -

        Cost = ((enhancement bonus) ^ 2) * 2000

        Now The Epic Weapons Table

        Enhancement Cost
        +1 +2,000 gp
        +2 +8,000 gp
        +3 +18,000 gp
        +4 +32,000 gp
        +5 +50,000 gp
        +6 +720,000 gp
        +7 +980,000 gp
        +8 +1,280,000 gp
        +9 +1,620,000 gp
        +10 +2,000,000 gp
        +11 +2,420,000 gp
        +12 +2,880,000 gp
        +13 +3,380,000 gp
        +14 +3,920,000 gp
        +15 +4,500,000 gp
        +16 +5,120,000 gp
        +17 +5,780,000 gp
        +18 +6,480,000 gp
        +19 +7,220,000 gp
        +20 +8,000,000 gp

Ok after +5 we start to take it in the shorts, and you get the battle weeny sideways.

        +1 thru +5 is this
        Cost = ((enhancement bonus) ^ 2) * 2,000

        +6 and greater is (epic)
        Cost = ((enhancement bonus ^2) * 20,000

I believe epic +6 and greater to be absurd so i came up with this table for consideration. If we get a house ruling, i will whip up a doc for future reference, for both armor and weapons

        Enhancement Cost (GP)
        +1 2000
        +2 8000
        +3 18000
        +4 32000
        +5 50000
        +6 72000
        +7 98000
        +8 128000
        +9 162000
        +10 200000
        +11 242000
        +12 288000
        +13 338000
        +14 392000
        +15 450000
        +16 512000
        +17 578000
        +18 648000
        +19 722000
        +20 800000
        +21 882000
        +22 968000
        +23 1058000
        +24 1152000
        +25 1250000
        +26 1352000
        +27 1458000
        +28 1568000
        +29 1682000
        +30 1800000

What sort of mana-ethereal creatures have we ran into thus far? I remember

Mana-ethereal trolls, was there mana-ethereal beholders?

              Anything else?

So would 15,000 year old manacite be considered epic class manacite?

Manacite is not anything. It is simply a factor in the power level of the item created.

Creating a wand of magic missiles with 20k manacite might take a gram.

Creating a wand of magic missiles with 1k manacite might take a kilo.

So Dwarf - Epic crafting is going to be expensive, in our running treasure list have we built up some nice cash?

So last game it was determined we are not doing aggregate exp ( or by another name character level ), is that your final answer?

Based upon that decision do we determine hit dice / hit points based upon each class level you have so a 10 caster/10 fighter/5 feat master would have

                      Example:
                      10d6 for caster + 10d10 for fighter + 5d4 for feat master for a total of 25HD?

Next question, I don’t believe we have discussed this or I just don’t remember.

Retraining feats ( overwriting a feat in a current slot with a new feat) , is that as simple as burning downtime, or done on upleveling?

This is all under normal circumstances not withholding Dregnoth ripping or erasing it from someone’s brain.

That has always been the answer, even back in the Fallen Legion days.

Yes. That is how Dregnoth’s character sheet is calculating his HP.

My first thought is that this is not a simple process. I feel it would be an XP cost and downtime.

This does not mean you calculate things on 25HD. You calculatre them strictly on the HD/level from the appropriate class.

That said, I am 100% cewrtain you have something in mind to break that rule also.

I really feel like there is some insinuation going on that infers that i’m trying to slip the DM the in-game wiener, i feel like this slanderous misjudgment of character that is completely unwarranted, Dregnoth is the in-game slipper of Blue Dragon Wieners. I shall take the high road, and return to my safe space of scenario planning, combat course of action development, and contingency planning against the Manaverse, to reflect upon what i could have possibly done to deserve such suspicion.
