What’s the possibility of playing a non-evil Mindflayer?
Maybe one that seperated from it’s eldar brain and started developing it’s own personality(which has happened) and decided it doesn’t want to be the evil, planar enslaving creature the eldar brain wants…

ok, just wondering.

Okay, to be a little more verbose on my answer.
You need to fucking focus.
You are all over the place.
Focus one one thing.
Take it as far as you can think and then go farther once you bring it to the rest of the group.
Honestly, if @dwarf or @halfgiant had said this, I would probably have thought about it more. But they already know how a monstrous race impacts game play by the numbers and balance. Though that still does not mean I would okay it.
Your ideas are generally not bad. But FFS, this isn’t 20 something sex, it needs to last more than 2 minutes.

Were you thinking about the non-evil Mind Flayer being a 10E thief? That would be a strange combo, since the 10e thief is not magical at all. Back when i DM’d semi-regularly if a player wanted to switch, or play a rather non conventional race/class combo, the price of entry was 1500+ words lore based story on the background of the character (were they are from, how they came to be, etc…), how they meet the party, personality traits, and how they intend to overcome the more obvious obstacles to adventuring. An example is how a non-evil Mindflayer would ever be able to enter into a surface humanoid settlement, with their party, when all the mind flayers in the world are evil, also the next obvious obstacle you would need to overcome is food for the MindFlayer (Dregnoth can probably help here).
I leave it up to the Manaverse DM, just a suggestion.

I felt this to be appropriate

Um, the mindflayer idea was for a future character I thought of and wanted to ask about, was not planning on using it now.
Right now I am using Onaga and working on the 10e thief idea who will probably be a Halfling or something.

Cause I figured that, eventually we are gonna have to roll up new characters, cause after all we can only take these characters so far. So, while we are still almost 2 weeks from our next session, I figured I would ask about a possible character idea for when we eventually make new characters.

I been playing with these guys for over 20 years , there is always more to go , great thing about D&D is its like numbers just when you think you have reached the end you add one … only in our case its D6 ( or D20) … Mind you I have played a metric shit ton of characters some have retired, some have been turned into swords with a brown tip, because the party you adventured with was to chicken shit to kill the barbarian that constantly screwed them over and you learned really quickly if they said they had your back, they most certainly DID NOT !! ( sorry I’m better now) … I been thinking about having a second character but going single makes it easy for me to take over if some one cant make it ( although I my self prefer the ghosting idea )
