So working on my thief I am planning on using sickles for a melee weapon ( which I hope not to get into)
being a thief I plan on having them poisoned ( well in their case venomed ) now being as how I would normally have to re-toxicate them after after every hit I would like to use my Combo level 4 ability to produce a weapon that has a reservoir for holding poisons/venom’s that will keep the weapon coated for say half of what a normal vile coats a weapon …

example if vile “A” can coat a weapon 10 times normally then a “Steady coat weapon” (?? shitty name I know ) would only be able to coat it 5 times due waste of toxic substance from drip or swinging or so forth and so on

after its been used an “X” number of times and the poison is gone it would then revert back to being a regular weapon melee weapon as its poison reservoir is empty, unless said thief refills it which would take there action for that turn

      changing would look like this
      Open door
      remove old vile
      place new vile
      close door
shake weapon to start the flow

any how let me know what you all think

You should often be in melee. just not getting seen to get hit.

No idea what form of sickle you are thinking of, but google found me this prehistoric design that could REALLY work in a modern theme for the 10e thief, obviously with better materials and construciton. But the design…

@daermadm nooooo I shoot from the shadows and never stay in one place for more than one … Maybe two shots but that’s pushing it. … Melee is only for the nearly dead

I do like that sickle, that’s very primitive …

So think of this but only as a Sickle …also I like the persons comment

“I expected to see a knife that would inject live wasps into the victim’s body for utter suffering” That dude plays D&D

                I assume your doing a 10E anti-magic thief?

Is that thief doing a optimized sneak attack build?

                Focus on melee or ranged?

Doing the 10E anti magic thief ranged is his main focus and he is super duper sneaky … like Elminster might not even be able to find him …

                    Feats for your consideration -

                    Rapid Load
                    Weapon Focus (Light Crossbow)
Crossbow Sniper (this allows sneak attacks to 60 foot and adds 1/2 dex mod to damage)
                    Point Blank Shot
                    Precise Shot
                    Rapid Shot
                    Improved Precise Shot
                    Craven
                    Darkstalker

                    Staggering Strike
                    Acrobatic Backstab (Skill Trick)
                    Savvy Rogue (maybe)
                    Crippling Strike
                    Shot on the Run
                    Quick Reconnoiter

                      @halfgiant I took

                      Point Blank Shot
                      Precise Shot
                      Improved Precise Shot
                      Rapid Shot
                      Manyshot
                      Ambidexterity
                      Two-Weapon Fighting
                      Improved Initiative
                      Improved Critical Cross bow

When I hit full level 20 I will probably ad Crossbow Sniper

These two you should keep an eye on, both aren’t too bad.

                        Craven
                        Darkstalker

@halfgiant Yeah I had looked at Craven I wasn’t so sure about it

                          I do like Darkstalker though

as of right now my Stealth is at 57 after my +20 from my cloak my level and class

Also I will be needing all the crappy magic items you dont need to feed my Spellfurnace lantern so I can recharge my “Magic Items”
