Storm King's Thunder
So once a month i have been running Storm Kings Thunder (physical tabletop) with 5 players across the better part of a year. Over this time they made it close to 9th level, before the party made a very bad decision at the Den of Giant Guh (Hill Giants) a near-TPK had taken the entire party. One party member managed to barely escape making it to the river before they could get them.
Naturally party tears flowed, denial, and then anger at the DM. I even had one player say, if he can’t come back with his magic items he doesn’t want to come back. It was so much fun.
I offered to run Durlag’s Tower next… I get the sense they aren’t ready for it.
