Considering a less “Evil-ish” character class for my main…

Class is a necromancer type, but using a more frankenstein approach using electricity rather then Negitive energy.
dead are still dead, just temporarily animated by a surge of controlled electricity.

Also uses electricity as a method of more direct attacks.

I have been looking into other character options that cause fewer “moral issues” in-game…

opinions are welcome, willing to discuss abilities of the class for balancing.

dude - for the love of Oghma, STOP looking at the frelling homebrew wiki. the shit (and i do mean SHIT) posted there is made by preteen kids who haven’t the foggiest clue what the word BALANCE means…

for fucks sake - that class can create unlimited Flesh Golems at 8th lvl (which, i might add, takes a goddamn limited wish to MAKE (min 13th lvl caster)) and at 16th lvl (where we are) can crank off electrical meteor swarms AT WILL. fucking elminster can’t even do that…

theres SOO much wrong with that class it isn’t even funny… 9th lvl he can animate a 36 HD hasted lightning zombie, 12th lvl can create unlimited SENTIENT undead with special abilities intact (it specifically mentions ray-blasting beholders)… its ridiculous

kudos if you wanna shop around for a non-standard class, and theres MORE than enough published d20 materials by paizo, goodman, mongoose and other folks to let you customize whatever tickles your fancy.

the wiki is a large waste of time and energy…

Ability to create. Through the normal golem creation process. So this is not all the unbalanced as the high level spells still need obtained. The class is not a caster and will have to pay for castings of all spells.

and at 16th lvl (where we are) can crank off electrical meteor swarms AT WILL. fucking elminster can’t even do that…

          At will makes this overpowered.

9th lvl he can animate a 36 HD hasted lightning zombie, 12th lvl can create unlimited SENTIENT undead with special abilities intact (it specifically mentions ray-blasting beholders)

All of this is undead. We’ve been down this route.

the wiki is a large waste of time and energy…

Not particularly. This class in a campaign without the evil restriction is not as severely overbalanced as some other things out there.

I reworked it myself, no undead in this one. Also made attempts to balance alot of the O.P. abilities.

I took inspiration from an old set of movies called Puppet Master (you may have seen them).
Instead of animating corpses, it creates small-sized “Lesser Golems”, to function as minions.

Please let me know what you think of this re-working.
