Flips thru drunken scribbles of last nights antics…
@daermadm So, approximately how far away is the Laputan Capital city from V’Ral? Do we know of any significant allies they may have on other continents, or island nations running around? Also do we have any idea of how many floating Laputan Cities are away from the Capital city at any one time? I get the impression they don’t do allies, only try and subjugate.
How long has it been since anyone has challenged the Laputan empire? From the intel gathered in the Dwarven Mountiain (while hunting the Axe), it seems like its been a millennium or two since anyone has really challenge them.

I should probably open up cities of faerun or something and model a better write up…
There are hundreds of floating small towns. These typically stay within their own region, floating over various ground towns as they police, enforce, tax, make themselves known.
These small towns are basically a floating large, self contained, keep.
There are a dozen or so large floating village sized towns.
There are 3 floating cities maybe 1/2 to 3/4 the size of V`Ral.
Then there is the capital, which is about double the size of V`Ral.
At this point on the Laputan continent where V`Ral found itself, they have been more or less at peace for 2,000 years or so.
The Laputan Empire’s problem now is they cannot expand. They need more resources to expand permanently to the eastern continent.
As recently as 250 years ago they attempted to take over a small kingdom on the northwest of the eastern continent. They were successful initially, but an alliance of kingdoms managed to push them back. Said kingdoms then divvied up the reclaimed kingdom. They didn’t do it out of good will.

Have the Kingdoms of the eastern continents ever tried to invade into Laputan territory?

Since Laputa consolidated more than 2000 years ago? No.
-
On the eastern continent, is it all out waring and alliances against each of the small kingdoms scattered throughout the continent? Or are they more held together by Merchant houses? or somthing else?
What would be the primary economy and item of trade that moves between the smaller kingdoms? Do they have such advanced sophistication with manacite?
Is there a major race on the eastern continent that isn’t a traditional humanoid race?
Since there seems to be a lot of water, i assume there are underwater nations?

Well Cloud had other worldly commitments and was unable to play tonight, which means Dregnoth, Ceasar, and Kargin will have to plan another Plotting Against the Manaverse night sometime in the coming weeks. Imbibing the holiest of dwarven liquids, consuming the finest wings, and casting our gaze upon the shortest of shorts in an effort to bring balance across the Manaverse. I know Dwarf doesn’t really like having to do this, but if not us who then will step up and take up the mantle of this noble quest!

Indeed !! Only the mightiest of adventurers dare step forth to do battle with the 50-winged Mutant DireChicken that seeks to conquer our world ! And whilst the strongest of mages in the Potterverse wept and begged not to imbibe scarcely a macho-mug of fatal beverage, we few hearty souls chortle and gleefully down stein after stein of it with nary a worry about hastening our glorious demise.
And ahh, the ever-so-beautiful wenches - who spend too many wistful days and lonely nights hoping for our return ! Tho it may just be our hard-earned coin …
-
Yeah that happened.

dunno how many beers we had, but it got 'er done !! and the above made for a yummy hangover breakfast today
