Description

This spell enables a wizard to attempt to reduce the magic resistance of a target creature. The target’s magic resistance applies to this spell but functions at only half its normal value. No saving throw is allowed beyond the magic resistance check. If the target has no magic resistance, the spell has no effect.

If the spell successfully overcomes the target’s magic resistance, the creature’s magic resistance is reduced by a base of 16% plus an additional 1% per level of the caster. For example, a 9th-level caster would reduce the target’s magic resistance by 25% (16% base + 9% from level).
