So, you say you want to become a PowerMaster. My advice don’t! I trained in the Arcane arts back in Argopolis, a lifetime ago. And a few of my classmates were PowerMasters in training, rarely do they die of old age, though they can live a very long time (ponders if any of them are around anymore). I did once see one of the cities cofounder’s, just once, he came and taught one of our classes, he was a PowerMaster, a Managanger! It was like reality bent around him as he simply walked thru the city. The very language he spoke was magic itself, wielding such ancient formulas and lore - the very essence of magic itself. [Shakes his head, as if coming out of a daydream]Bah, [drinks from his mug] all of that comes with a price, facing your racial enemy the Ancients, yeah, I bet nobody told you that when bestowing the virtues of PowerMastery! Yep, you will have a racial enemy. Fighting Netherese Archliches, Type 12 Demons, Mana Poison, and a whole assortment of nasties, if that doesn’t deter you then maybe you are crazy enough to spend a lifetime mastering all three towers of magic, arcane, divine, and psionic. Once you have mastered those then the questing begins to undergo the transformation into Powermastery, good luck with that, many never come back!
[wanders over to the Keg, grumbling, fills his mug, easing back into his chair, beginning to light up a smoke.] Listen kid, if you insist on attempting to master the three schools of magic, and become an apex spellcaster like a PowerMaster, there isn’t much I can say to stop you as you already have this bad notion in your head. All I can do is pass along the advice that Daren fella told us in class that day.
Scratches his beard, and rubs his bald head as he collects his thoughts] He said to achieve mastery of the three schools of magic isn’t to have dominance or to conquer magic but to achieve enlightenment thru the knowledge of it, to move with it, to weave it into your life, making it your companion, friend, ally, accomplice, partner, etc… magic is no one’s slave, it is to be respected and if you put back into it what it has given you it will always be there for you, for when you need it the most.

Increased Life Expectancy: After undergoing the transformation into powermastery the recipient’s life span is extended up to ten times their natural life expectancy.
Powermaster Knowledge: A powermaster can add his caster level to his Spellcraft check when trying to identify spells and magic effects. .
Expanded Brain Capacity: A powermaster has four independent cores providing them three caster actions per round (wizard, cleric, psion) and one physical action. In addition to this each caster cores the powermaster is provided a separate and distinct defensive casting process / action, that allows them to cast defensive spells in combat (i.e. stoneskin, prismatic wall, etc.). These defensive actions in place of the normal swift actions provided other normal spellcasters.
Spell Amalgamation: Amalgamation is the ability to take two or more spells or powers and combine them into a single spell/power. At the upper end of amalgamation, there is almost nothing a Power Master cannot do. Core to powermasters, they can release amalgamated spells that combined create a spell level higher than their normally allowed caster level.
Amalgamated spell level = highest level spell + avg of the remaining spell levels
Total Recall: As Ancient Helm of Total Recall, providing the powermaster autobiographical memory of perfect recall. Powermasters of old went thru the merging process with a helm of total recall.
Magnification (x): Amplification is the ability to take a spell and multiply all parts of it. Range, duration, damage, etc. This also increases the power point cost by the same multiplier. Core to the powermasters magnifying a spell this also provides the powermaster the ability to cast well beyond what their normal caster level would allow. Casting a x2 magnified meteor swarm is considered a 18th level spell.
Dematerialization(400): The Power Master has gained such mastery of the magical energies of his body that he can now turn himself completely into energy and transport himself anywhere he wishes to go. It costs 400 power points or the entirety of all his power pools, whichever is less. This ability cannot be blocked by anything less than divine level magics.
Shape Magic (x): is one of the hallmarks of the Powermaster’s abilities—an evolving command over the very architecture of spellcraft. By reshaping the fabric of magic itself, the Powermaster bends energy, form, and function with unmatched fluidity, casting spells faster, without gestures or components, and molding their effects in ways lesser casters cannot fathom.
• Shape Magic(I) – Power Master no longer requires the use of magic items or metamagic feats to be able to cast magics silently, and or without somatic gestures.
• Shape Magic(II) – Power masters learn how to substitute and mix energy types within a given spell (like energy substitutions and energy admixture)
• Shape Magic(III) – Power masters learn to manipulate the attributes of a single spell before releasing it by altering the color (i.e. invisible/camouflage), the range, area of affect, or duration.
• Shape Magic(IV) – TBD
• Shape Magic(V) – Power masters can now ignore material component of spells by ripping spells right from the weave.Cannibalization: Cannibalization is the ability to use power points for hit points or hit points for power points, exchange powerpoints for hitpoints at a 1:10 ratio.
Mastery of Form (x): A powermaster’s knowledge, intimate familiarity of a spell, and technique in casting is so precise, their spells are more difficult to dispel, absorb, spell resistance, or a spells DC or SL check.
• Mastery of Form (I): +2 bonus
• Mastery of Form (II): +4 bonus
• Mastery of Form (III): +6 bonus
• Mastery of Form (IV): +8 bonus
• Mastery of Form (V): +10 bonusPower Management (x): As you become more skilled in wielding magic, you learn to better optimize power useage, gaining the following benefits.
• Power Management (I): For each metamagic (regular/epic) ability used the powermaster can reduce the power cost by 1.
• Power Management (II): For spell levels II and III, the cost to cast is reduced by 1.
• Power Management (III): For spell levels IV and V, the cost to cast is reduced by 1.Split Form: Provides the ability to “split” a Power Master into four disparate beings, a cleric (white), a mage (pale blue), a psion (red), and a physical being. This ability may last for up to one week and the splinters may never be more than one mile apart. Combat or any other activity that would normally cause spell research to fail will cause the splinters to instantly reform into a single being at the location of the one who performed the action. This ability basically allows a Power Master to do more research simultaneously.
Weave Ride: Ride across lay lines and the mana weave, to any location in the sphere seamlessly. Making it harder for your enemies to track you, or to divert your travels.
Reality Weave: Similar to that of the weave, but across the fabric of reality, making it extremely difficult to block, track or divert.
Advanced Magic Learning (X): A Powermaster can frequently recreate a spell they don’t know just by seeing it cast. Sometime this takes more than one casting to catch it, but typically they get it. Additionally, when researching and creating new spells, they move extremely quickly creating spells in a quarter of the time than their non-powermaster counterparts.
AML (I): Discern all active and inactive spells, magical properties, on a creature, to include specific material components required, spell level, and caster level of the enchantments.
AML (II): Advanced research, the time required to create a new spell takes a quarter of the time than normal.
AML (III): After seeing a spell cast, if the PowerMaster is of level to cast it or can re-create it in an amalgamation they have a 50% shot of being able to learn enough about, seeing it cast, to recreate the spell.
AML (IV): 25% able to learn enough about a spell that is higher level than the Powermaster, every time the spell is cast the chance the Powermaster learns the spell goes up by 25%.
AML (V): PowerMaster can study basic area enchantments, runes, active spells, and unravel the woven spell effectively pulling the magic apart.Megaification: Mega spell works like Amplify spell, but it changes the multiplier to 100.
Over-Channeling: When casting the chosen spell, treat your caster level as x higher for all purposes, including range, duration, resistance to dispel checks, and overcoming spell resistance, however for every CL increase the caster takes 2d8 unresistable damage that can’t be healed by magical means and only by time and rest. For every CL raised the powermaster takes 2d8 damage, i.e., for a +5 over channel the power master would tak 10d8 unresistable damage.
Power Matrix (x): The powermaster’s dormant spell slots awaken and fuse into a power matrix, allowing the Powermaster to make greater use and flexibility of his spellcasting, allow them to use the power matrix for spell storing, or to hold magics for especially complex amalgamations, spell storing or over channeling. At any time, the Powermaster can convert stored magics in the matrix for extra power points.
- Power Matrix I – 100 spell point buffer comes online, allowing the PowerMaster to leverage for spell storing, or a storage space to hold magics for especially complex amalgamations or spell compressions, etc…
- Power Matrix II – Matrix grows into 500 spell point buffer
- Power Matrix III – Matrix grows into 1000 spell point buffer
- Power Matrix IV – Matrix grows into 2500 spell point buffer
- Power Matrix V – Matrix grows into 5000 spell point buffer
- Power Matrix VI – The matrix takes on a pseudo intelligence of its own, gaining its own special abilities augmenting class features such as amalgamations, spell compression, over channeling, etc…
