Everquest for us

So we are rocking a Wizard (Dregnoth) we all know who this is, Warrior this is Jeff, Magician (is this what your going to play Jared?), I’m rocking a Enchanter (Saravok) …
At what level do you guys want to start grouping up at? And maybe i should switch over to a Cleric…i think we may need some healing.
-
Not sure what or if something happened, it seems prices went up for Rolandite Himari from 1 gp, to 1 pp. And when giving 1 pp, i only get Dead Man Floating, and nothing else…and my pet doesn’t get buffed.
Just like a Rolandite

The one in PoK is supposed to be 1pp
And I was trying to fix the buffs because it was casting then at your level not the Rolandite’s level. I screwed it up a lot. I thought I had put it back.
I am about to sit down with it again for a bit.
-
So apparently, I fell asleep at my keyboard…
-
ok She is fixed. it casts relative to your level, but at level 10 it is 30 minutes.
so not horrible
-
Ok I got it installed … but now you one beard short of being Amish friend is looking at this… What doth it mean English
-
means you either forgot to edit the eqhost.ini file in the game directory, or you forgot to create the shortcut to eqgame.exe and add the patchme flag at the end…
would be my guess, from what tiny bit i know o’ things
-
@orc weren’t you on last night? Thought you were a laying a warrior?

Haha I laugh because I most certainly can relate.

That was me

making a separate chat window and redirecting talk stuff is super helpful
-
If anyone wants to try out a different class, after going through one once in the tutorial zone, let me know.
We can meet up and I’ll level it to say 10 or something and give you a set of armor from the tutorial zone. So you can try out something else without getting super bored in the same zone.

I’m thinking doing some Goblin hunting, so going to take a run at Runneye Citadel later today if anyone wants to join.

Worth Knowing when inspecting/consider a NPC monster before you attack.
When you Consider NPCs (/con) you will get a message. The message relays three things. The first is the NPCs attitude toward you. The second is how tough the NPC is compared to you. The third is if it is “a rare creature”, also called a “named” mob.
Attitude (from worst to best):
ready to attack, threateningly, dubious, apprehensive, indifferent, amiably, kindly, warmly, ally
NPCs will attack you on sight if “ready to attack” and “threateningly”, but NPCs which con “threateningly” have a smaller agro radius than those which are “ready to attack”. They will not attack but will refuse to trade if “dubious”.
How tough:
Gray: Below level 25 “-- looks like a reasonably safe opponent.” Otherwise, “-- You could probably win this fight.”
Green: “-- You would probably win this fight… it’s not certain though.”
Light blue: “-- looks kind of dangerous.”
Dark blue: Below level 25, “-- looks kind of risky, but you might win.” Otherwise, “-- it appears to be quite formidable.”
White: Below level 25, “-- looks kind of risky… you might win.” Otherwise, “-- looks like quite a gamble.”
Yellow: Below level 25, “-- looks like quite a gamble.” Otherwise, “-- looks like he/she/it would wipe the floor with you!”
Red: what would you like your tombstone to say?
Weak NPCs will have an additional message as part of their consider message.Con Color Level Ranges:
When it comes to telling whether or not you’re going to be able to stand up to that mob that you are staring down or not, using the /con system is a good way to get a general idea. These messages and their colors vary depending upon the level difference between you and the PC or NPC which you have /con’d. Most of these con colors/messages have static ranges, while a couple of them vary a little bit depending upon level.
The static ranges are:
Red - 4+ levels above you. (Great XP)
Yellow - 1-3 levels above you. (Excellent XP)
White - Your exact level. (Good XP)
Dark Blue - 1-5 levels below you. (Nice XP)
The variable ranges are:Light Blue - 6-15 levels below you. (Decent XP) [Light Blue starts at level 20]
The end of Light Blue (and the start of Green) varies somewhat with your level.
Green - 6-20 levels below you. (Minimal XP)
The start and end of Green varies somewhat with level depending on when Grey starts for your level.
Grey - 6-21 or more levels below you. (No XP)
Grey starts whenever you can no longer gain XP from a mob of that level; this varies with your level. -
I think Rolandite Himari is broken again, takes your money for sure, but no buffs. And doesn’t respond when Hailed.
More i think about it, maybe the Rolandite is working…

I did not change anything that I am aware of.
I was testing out a different NPC a few hours ago. Do any PoK quests work?

-
@daermadm Yeah, just did a shut down, and restart. The Rolandite Himari is unresponsive to me. Still takes the pp though
-
-
just chipped her a PP and she works fine for me
